Ministerial Order: South African Civil Aviation Authority

I, Mr Fikile Mbalula the Minister of Transport under Section 100(1)(a) of the Civil Aviation Act, 2009 (Act No. 13 of 2009) make the Ministerial Order as set out in the Schedule.

Schedule

(1)The Minister of Transport under section 100(1)(a) of the Civil Aviation Act, 2009 (Act No. 13 of 2009) make the following Ministerial Orders that:
(a)The South African Civil Aviation Authority shall monitor, oversee, enforce compliance and implement the International Air Services (COVID-19 restrictions on the movement of Persons and Crew) Regulations, 2020; and
(b)The South African Civil Aviation Authority, in giving effect to its monitoring and oversight responsibilities, will carry out measures such as surveillance and will facilitate collation of information from airlines in order to assist in tracking suspected cases and affected cases.
(2)This order shall remain in force until further notice.
